Camp Harambee is an 8 week youth summer day camp which provides educational, cultural, recreational, and creative activities for youth ages 5-14. The goal of Camp Harambee is to encourage family bonding, improve literacy, and expose campers to service learning. CCIS is accepted and campers enjoy Field Trips, Arts & Crafts, Swimming, Character Development, and Breakfast, Lunch & Snack. MORE INFORMATION
The "BRIDGES" After School Program provides a safe and nurturing environment, while offering tutoring and homework assistance in math, reading, science and other academic areas. Students also receive computer education and participate in recreational activities. The goal is to teach students to strive to high academic achievement, develop cultural awareness, and enhance personal and social skills.
The 21st Century After School Program is in collaboration with Neighborhood Learning Alliance and is held at Lincoln Elementary School for students in grades K- 5 and at Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy for students in grades 6 – 8. This program offers tutoring in math and reading and focuses specifically on students who have scored basic or below basic on their standardized test.
