Be a 6th Grade Mentor
Be a 6th Grade Mentor is collaboration between
The United Way of Allegheny County,
The Youth Futures Commission,
The Pittsburgh Public Schools, and partner agencies. The program was implemented to build connections between middle school students and professionals. In turn we hope these professionals will inspire students to pursue higher education and take full advantage of The Pittsburgh Promise.
MACAC is proud to be a partner agency of Be a 6th Grade Mentor, and serving
the students of Sterrett Middle School. Each week mentors and mentees meet
to review curriculum, solve problems, explore career opportunities, take field trips, and
participate in extracurricular activities. MACAC is always looking for caring individuals
to serve as mentors. If you are interested in being a mentor please contact
Kyle Henderson, Program Director at 412.441.1883 or khenderson@macac-inc.org
You already have what you need to be a mentor:
- a positive attitude
